AAQI Is Over the Moon!

We are over the moon!

During the four and a half days at International Quilt Festival in Houston last week the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI) sold 1,597 quilts earning $75,000 for the AAQI!!!!

You can read more about it on the AAQI Update blog:

But as Ami Simms has written:

International Quilt Festival ROCKED!

" I am humbled and honored and…..EXHAUSTED! International Quilt Festival was incredible! We sold 1,597 quilts and raised $75,000 for the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative!

This represents the largest amount of money raised by the AAQI at one time ever. We beat last year by $13,000. Most importantly, this means more money for research. Our Scientific Advisory Board is considering three grant applications right now for funding.
