The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative September Auction is about to begin! And I am so very proud to have a quilt of my own now available for bidding during this amazing collection of quilts in this September 1-10, 2012 auction.
I can only hope and pray that my own little quilt, filled with the beauty of nature, poetry, music, and spirit, along with all of the others below, will raise an impacting amount of money in the fight against Alzheimer's Disease as all profits go towards that funding.
The October Online Quilt Auction Starts October 1st!
12,000 - Outside Juneau, AK 2012
And please do note, the most amazing little quilt, shown small image, above.....the 12,000th one to be donated to AAQI !
It's a beautiful quilt by award-winning quilter and teacher Charlotte Warr Andersen and it will be included in our October online quilt auction (October 1-10).
Representing a beautiful cove in my own Juneau, Alaska ...oh, how it makes me homesick for my little island home in Douglas, Alaska..just across the Gastineau Channel from Juneau.
August 2012 was the most successful month in AAQI history for selling Priority: Alzheimer's Quilts online. (http://www.alzquilts.org/
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the quilting community, the
Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative will be bringing MORE than 2,000 quilts to sell

to go (before the shipping deadline) more than 1,600 quilts have
already been tagged and bagged and are waiting to be shipped. In 2011
the AAQI offered approximately 1,200 quilts for sale.
The AAQI will be putting out a call for helpers to staff the booth at
